Musica Nuda (2005) - Petra Magoni & Ferruccio Spinetti

I've talk in the very first message about duo between a sweedish singer woman and a pianist. Here it's less conventional as this italian duo is based on a singer Petra Magoni and a double bassist named Ferruccio Spinetti. They revisit some pop or Jazz standards like Roxanne from Sting or Imagine from John Lennon. "Musica Nuda" is a very good surprise.

1. Eleanor Rigby 2. Roxanne 3. Prendila cosi 4. Run with me 5. I will survive 6. Guarda che luna 7. Maledetto sia l'aspetto 8. Blackbird 9. Sacrifice 10. How intro/How insensitive 11. Voglio di vita uscir 12. Raindrops keep falling on my head 13. Nessuno 14. Nature boy 15. Imagine (+hidden track)

The Art Of How To Fall (2003) - Rebekka Bakken

As I'm worked for a truck company that belongs to a sweedish group and as i'm interested in Jazz, well known artists like Esbjorn Svensson (E.S.T.) or Nils Landgren permit me to discover others scandinavian artists. The artist I would like to introduce here is a real revelation for me. After having seen that she's really beautiful (just see into the booklet), you will be surprised as soon as the first title will begin. The norwegian singer Rebekka Bakken with this "The Art Of How To Fall" has the capability with his broken and deep voice to bring you in her own oniric world. What can we say more about her voice? Strange, surprising, cannot let anyone indifferent... (just click on titles for extract)

In The Court of The Crimson King (1969) - King Crimson

I love this album for two reasons. The first one is that the cover is absolutely exceptionnal !!! The second one is that it reminds me some happy childhood memories when my elder-brother played with his guitar the third title of this album: Epitaph. Ok "In The Court of The Crimson King" is not a jazz album but anyway it's a great one. If you want to learn more about King Crimsom and its legendary guitarist Robert Fripp you can go to the following links:

Even the tracks list is an appeal for travelling...

1. 21st Century Schizoid Man (Including Mirrors) 2. I Talk To The Wind 3. Epitaph (Including March For No Reason/Tomorrow And Tomorrow) 4. Moonchild (Including The Dream/The Illusion) 5. The Court Of The Crimson Song (Including The Return Of The Fire Witch/The Dance Of The Puppets).

Munich Concert (2006) - Miles Davis

Even if it is one more live album of Miles, it is always fun to see or hear how his group has evolved all along concerts. We can recognize from one record to another one, how a sax solo for instance has been improved or how Miles let a guitarist take the lead for a specific title and another day to rearrange the same title with the support of the keyboard. Just for that it is important to get one more live album of Miles. So this concert has been recorded in Munich in 1988 and has been put in a beautiful 3CD deluxe digipack. As this album is a bootleg (none official record), information regarding tracks list is sometimes erroneous. I've made corrections hereunder regarding the titles on the 3CD but i've kept into brackets the erroneous titles written in the original tracks list.

The last title of CD3 is issued from a concert performed in 1970 in Isle of Wright. This third CD has been also released alone under the album The Prince of Darkness (Live in Europe).

Disc 1: 1. Perfect Way 2. Human Nature 3. Tutu 4. Splatch 5. Heavy Metal Prelude 6. Heavy Metal
Disc 2: 1. Don't Stop Me Now 2. Carnival Time 3. Tomaas 4. New Blues 5. Portia
Disc 3: 1. The Senate (instead of Hannibal) 2. Me and You (instead of Code M.D.) 3. Wrinkle (instead of Jean Pierre) 4. Time After Time 5. Call It Anything [*]
